NYSW, Inc., Westchester 2016 Scholarship Winner

On May 17, 2016, Kathy Stagg presented the Westchester Chapter 2016 scholarship award to Madison Sacramone at the May dinner meeting at which Madison and her father, Steven, were the honored guests. The award is for $1000, along with a student membership to NYSW, Inc.

Madison, soon to graduate from White Plains High School, has maintained a 3.8 GPA, is an Honor Roll Student, belongs to the National Art Honors Society, has been very involved in Student Government, actively participated in leadership roles in numerous school events, as well as school & camp sports. Her Community Service includes such activities as Mid-Night Runs, Go Pink & SADD Clubs, Special Olympics Volunteer Lifeguarding , and serving in the SAIL Buddies Club, which allows students to get involved and socialize with special-ed students.

Madison is extremely creative and aspires to a career in interior design and fashion marketing. She has already used her artistic talent in various start-up businesses on line, selling her own artwork as well Fair Trade products made by women in poverty worldwide. In addition to that, she has worked as Lifeguard & Counselor for 4 summers, mentored for 4 years at Amscan, worked for another on-line distribution company, and presently works as a Swim Instructor at Life Time Athletics.

Finally, her extremely well-written Essay showed her to be a passionate artist, ambitious entrepreneur, and a caring young woman who wants to make a difference in the World.
