CNY Chapter Grant Information

NYS Women Inc. is a State organization dedicated to equity for women in the work place through advocacy, education and legislation. Our organization’s rich history is filled with hard fought battles including support of the Pay Equity Act, the Violence against Women Act as well as the Family Medical Leave Act.

The local chapter, the CNY Chapter is offering (1) $500.00 grant to an adult women residing in Oswego, Madison and/or Onondaga County in financial need who is returning to school as a result of the recent recession, corporate downsizing or a change in family structure (i.e. separation, divorce or death) to specifically pursue an education in the medical and/or health sciences field.

To apply for this grant, please tell us in essay form about yourself, the situation that resulted in your choice to finish or further your education and your aspirations for a more stable and successful future. Please include proof of your enrollment at the institution.

Mail or e-mail your essay and contact information to one or all of the email/addresses/phone below by Friday, April 29, 2016. We will be contacting the recipients by Monday, May 9, 2016.
