Local Chapter: Adirondack Chapter
Linda Provo has been an active member of the organization since 1985 when she joined the Tupper Lake BPW and held various positions since that time – those being, Local President, District XI Director, Assistant District Director and Secretary. On the State Level she served as Secretary, 1st Vice President, President-Elect and President. She has served as Nominating Committee Chair, committee member of the New Careerist Program and is presently serving as a Director of the Grace LeGendre Endowment.
As a member of New York State Women, Inc. since its inception, she has served as the Adirondack Chapter Treasurer, State Nominating Chair, State Communications Chair and 2016-2017 Registration Chair for President Theresa Fazzollari as well as member of the Meetings Committee, Manual of Instructions (MOI) Committee and Bylaws Committee. She has regularly attended Local, Region and State meetings.
As a retired Keyboard Specialist from the State of New York, she keeps very busy with her local community – as a member of the Rotary Club of Tupper Lake since 2008, she has worked diligently to live by the Rotarian Motto “Service Above Self” by helping with Food baskets during the Christmas Season, Golf Tournaments, special fundraising events and in 2013 was awarded as a “Paul Harris Fellow” – which is the highest award given to Rotarians. She currently serves as the Secretary/Treasurer.
In her spare time she has crocheted over 2000 afghans of which many members possess. Baby afghans were donated to
